Artichoke has been recognized as a medicinal herb since the 4th century BC and belongs to the Asteraceae family, which also includes milk thistle. Known as globe artichoke, it is different from the Jerusalem Artichoke root.

Traditionally, it has been used to relieve upper abdominal or lower chest discomfort after meals. Contemporary applications have expanded to support digestive health, particularly in cases of bowel irregularities and fat digestion issues.

The plant’s leaves contain key active compounds, chiefly cynarin. Lamberts® Artichoke Extract delivers a potent 7425mg dose per tablet, standardized to 5% cynarin, providing 16mg of this active constituent per tablet.
